Such a beautiful tent and design; excellent job my friends!! Sadly, I must admit that I had to sell my Soulo in order to obtain this new Niak, holy Sh*% will I miss that tent! I am not a mountaineer, but I can only imagine how magnificent in design and execution your expedition tents are?!! I just had to check in and say thank you for providing me with the best tent/shelter out of all my crews, and offering me with unparalleled security (even in a 3-season tent :). Thank you for making your Windsack! I bought one this past winter after having been jealous of my friend who already had one. It goes with me on all trips, is easy to use and has SO MANY USES! It is a piece of gear that allows me to enjoy the mountains in a whole new dimension. Imagine that a piece of safety equipment can give so much happiness, even when there is no crisis, such as when there is just a little bit of a cold wind and you want some respite from it. Or, like today, when I was birdwatching in a tree stand for three hours and was so cold, up until I put the Windsack over me like a tent, and the temperature rose multiple degrees. Hello Hilleberg Team, During our week-long ski tour in Hardangervidda in Norway, the Allak and Nallo GT were again our safe, comfortable homes in all kinds of weather. Especially on winter tours above tree-line we are completely dependent on our gear. Because of that you lay there at night in the tent and think, “What is going to happen – but then…it is a Hilleberg…” and you fall right back asleep. Then in the morning you wake up well rested and super fit. With our Hilleberg tents, we have crossed the Hardangervidda multiple times in the summer. The tents have been on Spitsbergen. This summer they will come with us on Kungsleden in Sweden. The freestanding Allak has found itself on small cliffs in the Swedish archipelago, while the lighter Nallo with the GT-vestibule has become the perfect gathering space when the kitchen, which we often locate between the tents, is not so pleasant any more. Almost all our friends who enjoy adventures as much as we do have also bought Hilleberg tents. Please keep up the good work! Regards from Kim and Helmut from Germany

Hello! I visited the Hoh Rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula here in Washington, USA a few weeks ago and wanted to share a photo of your tent in the Jurassic Park-like atmosphere. It rained all night but the sun came out in the morning to light up the moss covered trees. It's amazing that we have such a beautiful area right here in the Northwest! Thanks, Bill

Hi team Hilleberg, I just wanted to share a bit of a story with you. When I was a teenager (13-15), I spent most of my summer school holidays in Sweden, Norway and the Swiss/French/Italian Alps. My brother who is 9 years older than me took me with him and we spent up to the full 6 weeks hiking, just with backpack by foot. At the time, I bought a Hilleberg tent – I believe it was the Nallo 2 (the label has faded, cannot read it any more) – because it was light and I was told it was great quality. It was not cheap but I decided to go for it. Now, 30 years later, I still have it. I am now 43. I recently lent it to my son who was devastated when a tent pole broke. I repaired it with the spare pole. Now all is fixed and as new again. All seams are intact, no rips or holes, all zips are still working, all ropes are still intact, absolutely nothing wrong with it and every piece is original. It’s almost like on day one, just the tent base is somewhat discoloured from some mouldiness. It’s absolutely amazing, considering I was carrying it through Norway, Sweden, and the Alps for a few years and then along other tramps and finally through New Zealand, where we moved to 12 years ago. Hello! I wanted to share a few photos from a two-night stay at Paradise on Mt. Rainier last weekend. I continue to be impressed by the ease of pitching the Soulo every time I use it. The trip was great with a little bit of everything thrown in beginning with being totally socked in on Saturday to looking like a Game of Thrones set from north of the Wall Sunday morning and then waking up Monday to a clear blue sky. I didn't see it but there were fox tracks leading up to and away from my tent in the fresh snow Monday morning. Thanks! Bill Hinsee

Hi Hilleberg, I wanted to share a photo from our latest adventure.  My wife took this evening picture with our trusty Allak. We were doing some early season backpacking in Assateague National Seashore, Maryland, USA. We loved the Allak on this trip. The weather was pretty variable, and the winds kicked up on the beach overnight.  The Allak stood strong while others were noisily flapping away. It's amazing the peace-of-mind that this solid tent gave us. It let us focus on getting these amazing shots! Thanks Hilleberg, -Zak

Dear Hilleberg Team, We thought you might like this picture we took a couple of weeks ago. We had been travelling across South America with our bicycles since last October. On one of our crossings from Argentina to Chile, we met Seb, another bicycle traveller. We first discovered that we had the same brand of stove. Later we noticed that we had the same tent - same brand, same model, except that he had the 2 person version whereas we have the 3 person one. So we got the chance of taking a picture of these two "siblings" in front of volcano Osorno! Best regards and thanks for making these excellent tents! I love the photographs — and the descriptions — they make me (even in this rain and wind) want to go to the desert and pitch my latest favorite, the Unna. Hello, I just set up my Unna. Fantastic! Thank you. I look forward to using it on my 7 day Iceland backpacking trip this summer. The last time I used the Unna in winter was in New York last year. I have a Staika as well for the trips where I want to share sleeping space. The last few times I used Staika was on Wheeler Peak (highest mountain in New Mexico) in May 2016. I spread my Dad’s ashes on the summit during that trip. Then in June 2016 I used it for 8 days on the Emmons Glacier of Mt. Rainier. It snowed everyday! I attached a few photos of the tents in the field. Eric

Good Evening, Just thought I would share another picture from our recent trip to Kodiak Island. On this hunt we were camped at 1,700 ft which is well above any tree line on Kodiak. We were hit with an early snow storm, which only lasted a couple of days. We rode it out warm and dry in our Nammatj 3 GT. Loved the vestibule and the full cove footprint too! This is our 1st Hilleberg tent but we’ve bought several more since then. Thank You once again for making a great tent. Louis and Mrs. Ruth Cusack

Hi Hilleberg, My Unna is one of the best pieces of equipment I've ever used. I camped in a large campground that was very full during a two-month long car trip. Late one of the nights a very powerful storm that sounded like a train pounded my Unna with the toughest weather I've ever seen a tent take. Not knowing how truly bad it was at the time, I slept through the storm only to wake up to devastation on a grand scale. When I peeked out of the Unna that morning I could see hundreds of people huddled together in and under any structure strong enough to withstand the heavy squall. I thought to myself it couldn't have been that bad until I saw that I was truly the only tent left standing. Equipment of all sorts, more and less costly were hanging in trees and floating on the nearby lake. I went to pack up and literally did a presentation on all the benefits of Hilleberg equipment to a very large campground of cold, wet and scared people. Hopefully you added some customers. I was very proud of Hilleberg and I wish there was a way I could make a living doing this as I enjoyed it so very much. I look forward to the new catalog. Hello, I purchased the Saivo a few weeks back and had an opportunity to go up in the mountains in northern Arizona. Set up was extremely fast and easy. I was not expecting it but that evening there was a major storm and downpour with 35 to 40 mile an hour winds. I had the Saivo all pegged down and guided out. The water stayed out and it was completely dry inside.  I was really surprised that there was absolutely zero condensation on the inside. The Saivo stayed in place and it handled the wind with no problem About as perfect as you can get for three people! Leon H Ritchie
